- Wound is measured at clinic visits to track healing.
Daily care
- Wound is packed with gauze daily.
- Caregiver changes dressings and is the day-to-day judge of how the wound looks.
- Wash hands thoroughly before and after every dressing change.
- Note any changes in color, smell, or amount of drainage and report them.
