April 21 — Incision Reopened & Packing Begins
Hematoma drained, staples partially removed, wound packed and measured. Caregiver trained on daily dressing changes. No blood present by morning of same day.
~May 5 — Two Weeks Post Apr 21 — Wound Stabilizing
Expect less frequent hospital visits, bleeding tapering off. A good target for kid visits once drainage stops.
Now through May 22 — Monitoring Period
24/7 supervision required. Labs ongoing; medication doses adjusted after nearly every visit. Expect changes to continue.
May 22 — First Major Checkpoint
Immunity and antibody testing. Doctors will decide whether to relax visitor and gathering restrictions. This is the one-month surgery marker.
